This is the " Polish " you have to use when your working on either an older car with its precious original coat of paint, or a car with a nice new clear coat that needs attention, but doesn't warrant paint stripping abrasives at this stage of its life. The abrasives found in most polishes do a good job of what they are employed to do; strip off a fine layer of paint to expose a new layer underneath. Given that paint is on average 50 -100 microns thick (That is a LOT smaller than a bee's, if you know what I mean.), this should only be done as a last resort, if at all.
