David BowdenDavid, though retired, is our senior member. Without him there would be no car collection to maintain, therefore no car care products. His vision to protect our old touring cars has led to a spectacular amount of motoring history residing in sleepy little Buderim. David loves getting around the sheds and with his background in mechanics (he did his apprenticeship at Ford in the late 50's) helps out where he can. He is an honorary member of the board of directors at the local Buderim hospital and enjoys the chance to be able to give back to the community. The photo on the left was perhaps the start of the collection, when David first bought the Geoghegan GTHO Super Falcon. 10 years of his life went into bringing it back to life and then searching for what was left of Australia's then neglected racing legends. Thankfully he was able to find the cars we have here today and treat them with the respect they deserve, so they will be around for many future generations to see and enjoy.
David's favourite car's : 1932 Ford Hot Rod, GTHO Super Falcon, J2 Allard, Phase IV, Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing. Loves; Pauline, his wife of 40 odd years. People having a go. Real cars, Running the collections cars. Hates; Car abuse, Getting pestered, Chris not cleaning the pool. |
