In 1977 the Allan Moffat "Dealers" race team had a watershed year of racing. With two matching team cars steam rolling the Australian Touring Car Championship and then having the super memorable Bathurst victory with a 1-2 finish that is replayed every year on the Bathurst race telecast.
This XB Hardtop is the famous #2, special lightweight Falcon built under the eye of engineer extraordinaire Carroll Smith for new driver to the team, Colin Bond. In its first race it won straight out of the box, before backing up Moffat in the championship races and that somewhat controversial Bathurst 2nd place, where many still believe Bond should have passed team leader Moffat and taken the win from his ailing # 1 car. History shows that he did not, and we had the famous 1-2 victory, not 2-1! One of the toughest looking cars in our collection, we really love this poster!
Poster size is 600mm x 420mm in size and on nice 120 gsm art gloss paper.
