Whether you simply want a private guided tour of Australia's greatest collection of muscle, racing and touring cars for your car club members, or a sit down/ cocktail end of year function surrounded by some of Australia's motor racing elite for your staff or most appreciated customers, Bowden's Own can make a package that suits your needs.

 

PRIVATE TOUR PACKAGES
Reward your staff, club members, colleagues or friends with something memorable and unique. Experience a very special guided tour of 20 - 50 historic cars within the Bowden collection – Australia’s greatest collection of racing and touring cars.
Located in the Bowden’s Own HQ in Buderim QLD, the Bowden’s Own showroom is not normally open to the public and is only open for special occasions. Make sure your event is one of them.
Hosted by Dan Bowden, the famous stories of these cars come to life through Dan’s intimate knowledge of each and every car on display. It will be a tour everyone will never forget, and one they will tell their friends and families about for years to come.
Tour Details:
·         Hosted by Dan Bowden. Secondary host (for split groups) may be Chris Bowden, depending on availability.
·         Approx 50 cars on display – specific cars can be requested but not guaranteed.
·         Historical stories on each car (detail and length depends on tour type selected).
·         History of Bowden’s Own.
·         Q&A Session.
·         Opportunity to purchase Bowden’s Own products including car care and merchandise (posters, shirts, DVDs etc).
.       Safe and secure parking for all those coming along.
·         Tour Assistants (quantity depends on group size).
·         Minimum charge of 20 people applies to all tours.
·         Groups over 80 people may be split into 2 smaller groups to ensure participant enjoyment. Events of this size are subject to availability of Chris Bowden as a second speaker.
20 to 30 people - $40.00 a head
30 to 50 people - $35.00 a head
50 to 80 people - $30.00 a head

Catering

If you would like to provide food and drink to your tour attendees, Bowden’s Own offers a range of tour catering options including morning teas and BBQ lunches. Alternatively, we welcome you to bring your own food and drink. We have BBQ facilities on site that are available free of charge. 
Soft drink cans are available at all times - $1.50/can.

VENUE HIRE, FUNCTIONS AND TOURS
Looking for a venue that offers something absolutely unique? Surround you and your guests with some of the finest pieces of Australia’s motor racing history – hold your next event in Australia’s greatest classic muscle, racing and touring car collection. The theme is already set for you and the celebrities are already here!
For you to do your own special event, product release or party, our shed is available between the hours of 9am and 11pm.
Dan Bowden and selected Bowden's Own staff members will be available to help socialise and/or host your event.
1/2 (4hrs) and full day (8hrs) bookings are available.
 
4 Hours: $800.00
8 Hours: $1200.00
 
If you would like to include a tour with your function, a discounted rate for the tours apply.
 
20 to 30 people - $25.00 a head
30 to 50 people - $20.00 a head
50 to 80 people - $15.00 a head

Catering

Bowden’s Own can organise a range of catering options for all budgets upon request, from morning tea’s and simple BBQ’s right through to canapés and sit down dinners. If you require this option please let us know your budget and what you are looking for.
  
  

AV and Furniture Hire

Bowden’s Own welcomes you to bring along any furniture or equipment you have or want to hire to make your event more special. Bowden’s Own has limited furniture and equipment in the showroom, however, if you require us to organise any additional items, please let us know so we can source it for you.

Travel & Accommodation

Due to organisational constraints, we suggest you organise your own travel and accommodation for you and your guests.
For interstate visitors, Virgin, Jetstar and Tiger Airways offer multiple daily flights from Sydney and Melbourne to our local airport (Maroochydore). Alternatively, Brisbane airport is only an hour’s drive away. www.webjet.com.au is ideal for finding the cheapest and most convenient flights
If you are looking for a place to stay, we recommend the very popular Mooloolaba Beach. Featuring several hotels, motels or serviced apartments for all budgets, and a range of quality restaurants, shops and attractions. CELEBRITY APPEARANCES

As Bowden’s Own has several contacts within the motor racing industry, for an additional fee, Bowden’s Own can request the attendance of various motor racing celebrities to co-host a tour or function such as Kevin Bartlett, John French and Dick Johnson.
Celebrity appearances depend on their availability and relevance. Appearance costs vary based on the cost charged by the selected celebrity and their requirements.Please ask for more information if you would like to consider this option.

Open Day Feb 2012-Bowden's Own intergalactic HQ

Our first big tour of the collection is now set for Feb 26th 2012. There are some special anniversaries this year and we will be celebrating one of them with one of the more iconic cars in our collection.

 

It is 40 years since the Phase IV project was begun and later killed off, with David getting "his" ex race car in December 1973 whilst living in Townsville. That was the start of him seeing just how great these cars were in comparison to the GTHO Phase 3 road cars, the love affair never ended and he worked tirelessly to find those associated with the project and begin to put the story together on how they were created and where the 3 special race prototypes went to.

 

These cars have become icons for those into Aussie muscle cars and for us it was the start of our car collection with David getting the foresight that was needed to save and preserve these great old beasts that are now a part of our family in the shed.

  

 

  

So this Open Day will be a special event celebrating these cars, we have will have coming along some former owners of the three race protoypes, including rally legend Bruce "Hoddo" Hodgson, the only man who drove one in anger, in the Australian Rally Championship. Bruce got his car from Ford, direct from Howard Marsden and enetered it in the ARC, coming a galant 6th place that first year. He was later to sell his car and it was tragically written off in a road accident after survivng for so many years in his skilled hands running through the unforgiving forest trails.

  

We will also palnning to have some other special guests along who all had a part in the lives of these cars coming for the day, just wait and for more announcements soon, it will be something very special....  

 

  

 

How Do I Get On The Entry List?

The Open Day is strictly by invite only. Free invitations are only available with our two big car care kits, full of the best products we make to care for the collections cars; The Super Size and Mother Bucket are their names. Each kit has an invite for one person and their spouse/ partner/ son/ daughter. The invites are a free addition to these great kits. Inside each kit is a registration form, fill this out and send back with a proof of purchase (AutObarn or Bowden's Own receipt). This special event is a unique showcase of Australia’s greatest collection of racing and touring cars which are all still very alive and shown in a way never seen anywhere else in the world. Each selected car will be opened up from bonnet to boot on this more technical tour, culminating in the much anticipated running of the engines. Really, there is nothing much better than getting to see, hear and feel each of these mighty cars come to life....

This is the most special and unforgettable event we host. Therefore, the Bowden's Own Sound Tour has been developed for customers who have already registered or attended one of our Annual Open Days and want more. Our Open Days are exclusive to customers who have purchased either a Bowden’s Own “Mother Bucket” or “Super Size Auto Body Kit”. Tickets to attend the Bowden's Own Sound Tour are only $149.95 per person for eligible customers. Tickets are limited to 2 tickets per customer and only 50 in total, so it is a pretty exclusive event.

Well it is nothing compared to being here in person, especially when experiencing it over 30 times within the space of a few hours! We also do special some features, like all the Group C cars running at one time and finally the Improved Production trio of Beechey's Monaro, Geoghegan's Super Falcon and Moffat's Mustang all running together, just like the race grid back in 1971... Neighbours really love that part of the day!

A big thank you once again for opening your shed doors for the Sound Tour. Too many highlights to single out, but the look on your face Dan when the Beechey Monaro fired into life was priceless. There was a similar look on Morts face when the '79 A9X was started. The work you guys have done over the years to assemble and preserve the machinery from that era of Australian Motorsport goes without saying. Excellent work.

This was my 3rd day at your residence and I never tire of it. Good to see the French XY. A car I didn't know you had.

Hi to all Bowden’s,
 
My wife and I would like to congratulate you on your first ever Sound Tour in October. Not only did all the cars live up to expectations but in many cases exceeded them. For many people like myself who could not possibly afford to own such a piece of Australian history, just to be able to get up close was a dream come true. But to go one better and hear them in their full glory, and the sound reverberating throughout the building, sent me into a cold sweat.

It was such a pleasure to hear Mr Bowden relive some of his past and take us on his own personal journey through his highs and lows. All of us who still live the dream owe him unmeasurably for his efforts and undying love of such classic vehicles, and to let others joint him in his love.

I cannot thank every one who was involved in bringing this event together enough. Without such people as the Bowden family these vehicles would just be a thing of the past and lost in time. Again well done and I hope to be able to return one day and relive the dream,

Dear Dan,
What an amazing fun filled day!
Having attended your original open day, and now having the opportunity of going to the inaugural Sound Tour was just fantastic.
I took my elder brother, Harry, along for his 60th birthday gift, which is not until next January.  It was a surprise to him and what a surprise he received as he had seen the Moffat Mustang and Beachy's Monaro race at Lakeside (he thinks he can remember that far back).
At times he was lost for words.  We both really enjoyed the experience and as for the noise of all those engines revving, it was music to our ears. 
We would like to thank you and your family, especially your Dad, for allowing us to view and hear what must be the best collection of muscle cars there is.
The day was perfect as it was.
