Someone a hell of a lot smarter than myself once said;

"What has been, will be again"

So have a look at where we have been and from that, maybe you can work out where we will go? No definite's here folks, only maybe's. But it's a start.

Shannons "Days of THUNDER"

(who would have thought "Hollywood Ross" would come up with such a name?!)

2 days of  "THUNDAH" is what's looming in late May. The poor old muscle car shootout has gone the way of the Do-Do, but this event promises to be bigger, better, badder and most importantly "Thundery".

A clever mix of muscle and sports cars, that promises to see some brilliant stoushes between Shelby's, Vette's, De Tomaso, GT Falcon's, Torana's Porsche's and maybe a MOPAR or two (That would be nice!)

We love the concept and will be running our;

  • Allan Moffat Trans Am Mustang
  • The Thunderous Norm Beechey Monaro.

31st of May -1st of June, 2008 at Queensland Raceway

4-8th of July 2007

This is the big one as far as the crew at Bowden's Own are concerned! A tarmac rally for classic and modern exotic sports and touring cars, to be conducted annually on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. AKA Bowden's Own HQ!

Limited to only 250 entrants (EEEEEP! Get in ASAP!!!!!)

It's a 4 day event, based around Noosa. It extends as far north as Gympie, as south as Samford and west to Kilcoy, for a grand total of 980 kilometers, 200 of which will be closed road competitive stages!! Each day will start with a run up my favourite; the Noosa Hillclimb.

This is going to be FREAKING awesome & we can't wait! Start preparing, as it will come up very quick.

We will be entering our:

1955 300SL Gullwing (Hmmmm....Which navigator today?!)

1964 MK2 AC Cobra

(That's Ralph Lauren's 250LM, & if he comes out for the rally, we'll kick his butt again!)

1965 Ford GT40

1973 Carrera RS Porsche (The white one, that jumps when it sees a mouse)

Check out www.suncoastclassic.com.au

The Bowden's Own team

are off to the

Goodwood Festival

of Speed!

You read it here first folks!

We can't say the what, where and whens yet. But we can say we are completely flattered with Lord March's invitation & that we will be there & competing, with a rather nice and unique Australian car.

With Dan 'Gurney' Bowden behind the wheel in his first international campaign, Michael Schumacher has registered interest in coming out of retirement, purely to challenge the multiple Noosa Hillclimb champion, says his jealous and much better looking brother.

"Schuey knew this was coming, so he copped out and retired early." Says 'Gurney' Bowden "Everywhere I go & every discipline of Motorsport I enter into, people are retiring, it is becoming far too frequent just to be a coincidence. How am I ever going to know how good I truly am, if everyone "retires", as soon as I come to their continent? I think it is bloody un-Australian." Says the lesser of the two brothers, in a revealing interview with Woman's Day magazine.

Stay tuned for more details

Seven Network will screen an hour of highlights from the 2006 Australian Muscle Car Masters at 1pm on Saturday December 23, 2006.

The action-packed programme relives the greatest moments from Australia's premier Muscle Car Heritage event, including a feast of power-sliding, door-banging Historic Touring Car racing.

With six in car cameras spread throughout the grid of Falcon GTs, Monaros, Chargers, Toranas, Camaros and Mustangs you will find yourself in the drivers seat for some of the best manhandling Muscle Car entertainment you could wish for.

Paul Stubber charging through the field in his tyre smoking big Chev Camaro is a must see. There's heaps of Group C and Group A Historic Touring Car racing (LOVELY!) , interviews with legendary drivers and hot lap sessions featuring some of the most valuable cars ever to have raced at Bathurst.

If you like your motorsport served up sideways with plenty of chrome metal and horsepower don't miss Eastern Creek Raceway's 2006 Australian Muscle Car Masters on the Seven Network, 1pm Saturday December 23, 2006, check your local guides.

Well, I don't know if you caught it, but it was the best bit of TV

I have seen this Christmas break, hands down!!

The in car footage of Mr Stubber and Co. was a real highlight. I was suprised how thrilling it was to watch and makes me pine for the old days where a bit of sideways was the way to get the most out of your production based car!

Screw the older you get, the better it was! IT WAS BETTER.

Good on you Chevron and AMC for the day and thanks Channel 7 for putting it on. But I must ask the question, where was Mike Raymond?

Everyone show there appreciation and buy a DVD & see you at the Masters in 2007!
