Stop annoying snags with our new Hose Sliders!

Most people will have experienced the detailing frustration of your hose getting caught under tyres while moving round the car. We found a solution a few years ago with our original blue hose slides, and they worked fairly well allowing your hose to glide effortlessly around the tyres without snagging. Over time and many broken slides later, we realised that the propensity of the human brain to completely forget about these slides being under the wheels when you drive off after a detail was killing them by the hundreds. This set us on our course to design the next generation of hose slides that solves all our original gripes, and in the process we've made something that we can call "unbreakable".

Unbreakable

Our secret? The unique polyurethane which has made sliders nigh-unbreakable. Most of the cheaper hose slides found online are made of cheaper high density polypropylene, which is quite stiff and prone to shattering when run over. We chose polyurethane because of its excellent mechanical properties which make it ideal for something that cops quite a beating. Not only is it super tough and flexible (often found in things like trolley wheels and suspension bushes) with superb chemical, UV and temperature resistance, but it also doesn't go brittle and holds the memory of its original shape, ensuring it returns to form after being compressed or squashed. We've tried so many different ways to destroy these things, and short of incineration or a wood shredder, it's practically impossible.
 

Smooth Sliding

The polyurethane provides an abrasion resistant yet low grip surface, meaning your hose will drag across it with minimal friction and without wearing the hose or the Hose Sliders down! The sliding action transforms the detailing experience from something often frustrating to a truly enjoyable experience, with no more worrying about hoses getting caught.

Wedges Firmly

The unique V modled camel-toe design was a revelation during development to allow the sliders to spread apart with the right amount of pressure keeping them firmly on the ground and under the tyre, while also preventing splitting of the main face of the slider. The flexible material also allows for universal fitment of many different sizes of tyres, from smaller sedan tyres, up to massive muddies found on some 4WD's. The angled and tapered base (making injection moulding much harder for our poor guys) means it wedges firmly, every time. 
 

4 years of intensive R&D

Over 4 years of work went into the Hose Sliders and over 50 + variations during development to get it to live up to our high standards. This was one of our first projects utilizing rapid prototyping with in house design and 3D printing enabling quick testing and discarding of failed versions. Once we settled on a design and material combination, the prototypes were tested for over 6 months on 100's of different sized wheels to ensure compatability and durability. 
 

Easily fits all tyre sizes

Our versatile design allows secure fitment to all tyre sizes, smaller lower profile tyres use an angled approach, whereas larger 4X4 and truck tyres can go straight on for a firm fit that doesn't come out!

Proudly Australian made

Keeping things as Australian as possible is super important to us, so it was a no brainer to get the Hose Sliders made here. The 4 years of designing, 3D printing and testing was all done in house, and the finalised design was injection moulded locally here in Queensland too, much like our Great Barrier Thingies, Beaut Beads Jars and Flat Head handles. The high quality presentation box is also proudly made here by one of our local packaging manufacturers who were stoked to be able to build this for us in house, keeping the entire production of the Hose Sliders in Australia.
