Matte and satin finishes look tough, but caring for them isn’t so simple. Most detailing products can change the matte appearance over time, which kills that stealthy look.

That’s why we’ve spent the last few years developing a specialist ceramic sealant made just for these unique finishes. Introducing Flat Matte—an advanced formula packed with durable protective polymers and delustering agents that deliver long-lasting protection and super hydrophobic water beading, without adding any unwanted shine.

We took everything we learned from developing our super long lasting sealant Bead Machine, and gave our chemists a new challenge: create a sealant tough enough for the local Aussie conditions, but ideal for matte paint. After testing a heap of versions, (including an old-school paste wax) we landed on this purpose built formula. It delivers the same long-lasting protection and beading you'd expect from Bead Machine, but without altering the stealth look finish. All the defence, none of the shine - just how matte should be.

Maintenance:

When you notice the beading and water sheeting begin to diminish, you can boost Flat Matte by reapplying it after a wash. For best results, use Flash Prep first, but just make sure the paint is clean and dry before reapplying Flatt Matte. Please note that our other super hydrophobics; Bead Machine, Wet Dreams and Happy Ending are not suitable to use on these matte/satin finishes.

For your weekly washing you can use our Snow Job foams as well as our wash: Auto Body Gel.

For drying you can use any of our super absorbent microfibre drying towels like The Twisted Pro Sucker, but just keep in mind to not use any drying aids like Boss Gloss or After Glow. A really cool added bonus of having the ceramic Flat Matte on your vehicle is that the Snow Job snow foams will become more effective and clean better, and the paint will become much more slippery and smooth, and easier to clean, dry and maintain.
